[MEncoder-users] Encoding non-photographic data

What options should I use for encoding a sequence of images containing
non-photographic data. This results in very unsaturated colors:

mencoder mf://../frames/%%d.png -mf fps=25 -vf scale=-3:720,crop=1280:720 -o
../video/new-video.avi -ovc lavc -lavcopts
vcodec=mpeg4:mbd=2:mv0:trell:v4mv:cbp:last_pred=3:predia=2:dia=2:vmax_b_fram
es=2:vb_strategy=1:precmp=2:subcmp=2:preme=2:qns=2:vbitrate=30000000

I tried hue=0:1.125,eq=5:5 but it is still to pale. Any ideas?
