[MEncoder-users] Problem with ac3 encoding: 1 duplicate frame(s)!

I too have noticed what could be mux issues with AC3 encoding when encoding as
MPEG2.  I recently upgraded my platform, Suse, and MPLAYER.  Now the audio seems
to play much slower than the video.

I have always depended on packages, I have not tried compiling my own.  I also
did not notice the warning that MPEG2 muxing was broken.

Is there a recommended course of action for someone like me?  Will the muxing be
fixed (or is it being looked at)?  should I try making my own compilations (good
luck with that!)?  should I use an old package; I was perfectly happy with the
one I had up until last week (and if so, how old)?
