It did not change _much_, it was always rather unstable (though possibly
more strict compiler have made it a bit worse).
Unfortunately unless you use -demuxer lavf I cannot fully recommend the
other decoder either, it might end up with some frames at the beginning
being dropped due to a parser bug (libmpcodecs/dec_video.c sometimes
will not split the first few frames correctly).
