[MEncoder-users] Mencoder not recognizing some MPEGs

Tried that and it didn't seem to do the trick. Here is the call I make,
maybe it will help spawn some ideas.

c:\users\robm\mencoder   M2U00495.MPG -vc mpeg12 -o out.avi  -oac copy
-subpos 90 -sub srt.srt  -ovc xvid -xvidencopts
quant_type=mpeg:turbo:pass=1:bitrate=1500:qpel   -vf lavcdeint
-subfont-text-scale 4  -lavcopts aspect=16/9

-vc mpeg12 will use the libmpeg2 demuxer instead of the default ffmpeg one
