[MEncoder-users] Recommended options for youtube video

When I search the web, I found a lot threads about mencoder and
youtube. Are there options that youtube doesn't touch the video or does
youtube convert in any case, so it is useless to optimize the video on
the local machine and reencoding reduceds only the upload?

Do you have special options for youtube? I start from a ffv1-file with
flac in an avi-container produced by kdenlive.
