Well, you are right, mplayer really seems to hate that video. Saw a LOT 
of these errors:

[h264 @ 0x1008ce9a0]top block unavailable for requested intra mode at 6 0
[h264 @ 0x1008ce9a0]error while decoding MB 6 0
[h264 @ 0x1008ce9a0]concealing 1200 DC, 1200 AC, 1200 MV errors

Both VLC and Quicktime seem to play it just fine.
