You can use mediainfo (http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en) to examine
the output file, which will show the x264 encoding settings that are
embedded into the output (not just ones explicitly provided to x264, but
ones that were defaulted as well).

mbtree is on by default and requires "no_mbtree" to disable it.
