I think you have too many framerefs in mencoder part, hence why your
player won't play it. The MediaCoder output reports a total of 4 (3
framerefs + b-pyramid which ups the count to 4) while your mencoder
one has 5 (5 framerefs + b-pyramid which ups the count to 6)
