I demuxed the file and am using the audio stream with -audiofile. I then
encode the audio separately (feed the resulting AVI into FFmpeg, which

I've done all that. I use yadif or pp=lb to deinterlace, omit the scale
option because I want to keep the resolution, x264 options are
specified, see above for audio, and I use AVI for a temporary container
and MP4Box for the final output.
