[MEncoder-users] "Too many video packets in the buffer"

By using an external audio file (which kept the "too many packets" error
from flooding my terminal), I found out that it's out of sync because
the video isn't playing at the proper frame rate (it's playing slower
than the audio, probably half the rate). Why I have 25fps going in and
50fps coming out, I have no idea (this happens with pp=lb as well as yadif).
