That normally shouldn't cause any problems. I've no idea why it can't
crop on your part. I would even suspect something wrong with your
MPlayer build, though it's unlikely. Try on other DVDs and see if you
get the same results. If so, then there's something deeper going on
and I'd even suggest to get MPlayer from SVN and compile yourself ;)
