That's funny, because I thought I saw that even when viewing the source with
VLC. You might substitute "pullup" for everything in the filter chain before
"softskip", or you might leave the tfields and tinterlace filters in place
before it. The best I think I got was using
"tfields=0,tinterlace=0,pullup,scale=720:480,harddup" for the chain, but
part of what you see may just be the compromise of scaling, because there
may be inherent problems anyway with digital 24 fps compared to film through
projector.
