[MEncoder-users] do i need additional options with vqscale?

Hi,

I want to do a 1-pass VBR encoding to mpeg4 at best quality
level, resulting file size/bitrate does not matter.

Does it make sense to specify additional -lavcopts like

mbd=2:mv0:trell:cbp:v4mv:last_pred=3:precmp=2:cmp=2:subcmp=2:preme=2:qns=2

or do they only make sense for 2-pass encoding with a target
bitrate?
