[MEncoder-users] nr value recommendations

Hi All,

The documentation says that 100-1000 are useful values for nr the x264 noise
reduction filter.

How would one go about finding out the right nr value for a source?  I am
looking for some general guidelines, like recommendations for DVD (film,
anime, black and white), digital HD broadcasts, camcorder recordings.
