Could you elaborate?
I think the page is a pretty important source for information about
de-interlacing, so improvements might be welcome.

Anyway, the problem you had was described here:
http://roundup.ffmpeg.org/roundup/ffmpeg/issue461
which was a duplicate of
http://roundup.ffmpeg.org/roundup/ffmpeg/issue315
and is fixed now.
