[MEncoder-users] Mencoder keeps skipping frames!

Hi,

I'm trying to rip a DVD using mencoder, however it keeps skipping frames
although I specificly tell it not to (by using -noskip). This makes the
generated mpeg4 (with lavc) not played back smoothly, the picture
freezes for a millisecond or so each two-three seconds. Any clues why?

I'm using mencoder rc2 with the following profile:
