I never had good experience with filmdint. As about ivtc and detc - ivtc
and pullup are similar, and while pullup usually performs better, ivtc
sometimes can be more useful. detc is different story, it locks on fixed
pattern, which works only for unedited telecined material, but in such
cases, it produces perfect result and is the best choice. It'll work for
every scene, including ones that can't be inverse telecined correctly by
ivtc and pullup (still frames, slow vertical motion, motion only in
small details like lips and so on). In such scenes, analyzing "how to
do ivtc" can be near impossible, but detc, which will blindly drop
frames according to selected pattern will work. Unfortunately, often
detc can't be used, but when it works, use it without doubt.
Also, for damaged video divtc filter can help. If your video has been
heavily processed after telecining, chances are none of the filters will
help; but divtc sometimes can restore it somewhat, making it look
better. Use two-pass mode, adaptive one doesn't produce satisfying
results
