[MEncoder-users] mencoder and binary codecs package

Hello.

	I can't play files via the binary codecs package on MacIntel (see  
output below). I have the latest macosx.intel binary codecs package  
fro www.mplayer.hu in /usr/local/lib/codecs, and indeed when I compile  
configure finds them:

Yet when I play, I keep getting the error:

> IMediaObject ERROR: 0x6c078f  input format not accepted  
> (0x80040205 : -2147220987)
> Failed to create DMO filter
> ERROR: Could not open required DirectShow codec wmvadvd.dll.

It is not even clear to me in wmvadvd.dll is not found, or more likely  
it cannot be configured. I am finding the same problem with at least  
three different files which according to ffmpeg have the following  
codecs:

>     Stream #0.0: Video: wmv3, 672x352 [PAR 0:1 DAR 0:1], 23.98 tb(r)

>     Stream #0.0: Video: vc1, 512x384 [PAR 0:1 DAR 0:1], 25.00 tb(r)

Can anybody point me in the direction of what is wrong?
