[MEncoder-users] new user needing help with mpeg -> jpeg/audio -> mpeg

I will try to directly cut to the chase.

I can use the encoder to make a mpeg a bunch of jpegs.
I have had luck turning the jpegs back into a mpeg.

I would like to
Take a mpeg video with audio and rip it to jpegs and a audio stream / file.
Then I will edit each jpeg (in batch) and save them.
Take the audio and jpegs (modified) and re encode them back to a mpeg
keeping the audio in sync.

Is this possible? If so, would some gracious user please send me the
commands so I can get on with the "art" and forget the technical headaches.
