[MEncoder-users] non-interleaved mode

When encoding an mpeg-2 combined vob file I'm getting the following message
at about 80% on the second pass.
Too many video packets in the buffer: (4096 in 82734543 bytes).
Maybe you are playing a non-interleaved stream/file or the codec failed?
For AVI files, try to force non-interleaved mode with the -ni option.
This keeps repeating..
Should I kill the encode? What is causing this? I've seen it before and
wondered.

also, I check the output avi file and its still growing. I was curious as
to whether this run is screwed and I should kill it and examine.
