Which deinterlacer would that be? I could not find any mention of them 
in the mplayer manpage, but I have some ATSC recordings with mixed 
interlaced/progressive content, and they defy any attempts to get a 
clean 24000/1001 framerate. A deinterlacer *before* pullup or filmdint 
that leaves the progressive parts alone may be the key here.
