[MEncoder-users] Sound sync issues FLV to DVD

I am trying to build a DVD with choral music FLVs

So far so good for the sound, the quality is great.  The video looks 
awesome also, actually better than the original FLV at the same size, 
yet seems to surge ahead faster, out of sync with the sound, I guess the 
duplicate frames are dropped and thus make the video shorter?

Result is that the song is still going by the time the video is done.

I have harddup, also tried -noskip...

Mplayer gives the same problem when playing the original FLVs.
Yet they play just fine using VLC (which, alas, doesn't encode properly 
the MPGs)

Any ideas?
