[MEncoder-users] x264 cpu capability none

Hello all,
I am using x264 with mencoder to transcode my vob file. (movie).

Before the encoding (pass 1 and 2) worked fine, and  still  works
but very slowly.

May be because I got this message at the beginning :
x264 cpu capability <none>

I also tried the svn version without success.

Now I use this version from my distro (archlinux): x264 20070616-1

My cpu is an amd64 dual core at 1.6 Ghz

Is there any way to solve this problem.  The second pass (very high
quality takes 3 times than before!!)
