[MEncoder-users] encoding problems

I have an mov that is not cooperating. When I encode it, some computers
have a hard time playing it, like the video card is struggling. Last
time I saw something similar, I needed to deinterlace it. This is not
working. If I change the -ofps, the speed of the video changes. I have
no idea how the video is encoded, and was wondering if the -ofps issue
indicates how it is encoded. Ive tried the syntax below.

mencoder Cycle.mov -o Cycle2.flv -vf pullup,softskip -of lavf -oac
mp3lame -lameopts abr:br=48:vol=1 -mc 0.0001 -ovc lavc -lavcopts
vcodec=flv:vpass=1:vbitrate=1070:v4mv:mbd=2:trell:cbp:last_pred=3:keyint=60:turbo
-ofps 30000/1001 -channels 1 -srate 22050 -lavfopts
i_certify_that_my_video_stream_does_not_use_b_frames

and:

-vf tfields=4,framestep=2

and everything in between, but nothing seems to work. The On2 Flix demo
I downloaded has no problem with it. Encoding at the same bit rate on
the 4 min video results in about a 75% smaller video with similar
quality. Any insight would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Sean
