Quite apart from your problem, I seriously doubt this will work
correctly, because AFAIK '-ss' and '-endpos' are completely ignored when
doing streamcopy. If you actually want to remux only the middle part of
the stream, you will have to either use a specialized tool (which may
not actually exist) or transcode both the audio and the video.

Unless I've somehow managed to either miss a major change in MEncoder,
or be wrong about the behaviour all this time...
