I'm trying to encode PCM sound (from MPEG2 or separate WAV file) into
AC3. It works, but resulting AC3 audio has it's volume doubled when
compared to oryginal PCM. It can be heard and seen by comparing
waveforms. All samples are multiplied by factor of 2.
I use mencoder-1.0-0.69.rc1.lvn6 package on Fedora Core 6.
Mencoder is not patched or modified in any way.
What can be done about that except reducing volume before AC3 encoding?
