[MEncoder-users] On2 VP6 (FLV) usage legalities

Hi there,

I want to create some video tutorials and allow them to be viewed as
paid subscriptions over the net so I believe flash video is the best
route for this.

The problem I have is that VP6 codec offers much greater quality than
the Sorenson codec, yet I am unsure of the legalities of using it for
commercial purposes?

Am I permitted to use it freely seeing as I'm using mencoder and not
their proprietory software?
