Certainly.  However I thought that this was the *-users list :-)  

Now, seriously, I am not familiar enough (or, better, familiar at all)
with the implementation of codecs and filters, let alone to being able
to isolate the code and port it to mencoder.  I would not mind doing
so if I had time to learn the guts of both tools.  But then, I am sure
I would not have any problem in working around my issues with
transcode!
