I've investigated some more: I've logged and analyzed the output of
mencoder and here is what I've found:
EDL SKIP: Start: 3661.00 End: 3680.00 Current: V: 3667.45 A: 0.00
EDL SKIP: Start: 3661.00 End: 3680.00 Current: V: 3667.49 A: 0.00
EDL SKIP: Start: 3661.00 End: 3680.00 Current: V: 3667.53 A: 0.00
EDL SKIP: Start: 3661.00 End: 3680.00 Current: V: 3667.57 A: 0.00
EDL SKIP: Start: 3661.00 End: 3680.00 Current: V: 0.19 A: 0.00
EDL SKIP: Start: 3661.00 End: 3680.00 Current: V: 0.23 A: 0.00
EDL SKIP: Start: 3661.00 End: 3680.00 Current: V: 0.27 A: 0.00
EDL SKIP: Start: 3661.00 End: 3680.00 Current: V: 0.31 A: 0.00
The time counter is reinitialized at some point. I've made a few tests
and it never worked as expected with DVD-9 but it did with DVD-5.
Can this be related to dual-layer discs ?
Regards,
Olivier
