[MEncoder-users] 1 duplicate frame hell

Hi folks,

I am trying to encode dvd -> xvid and keep getting the 1 duplicate frame
problem (approx. 1 every 1 to 5 seconds).

Here is the what I use:
mencoder -dvd-device /dev/dvd dvd://1 -ofps 24000/1001 -ffourcc DIVX
-alang eng -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=224 -vf
pullup,softskip,crop=704:480:8:0,hqdn3d=2:1:2 -ovc xvid -xvidencopts
pass=1:chroma_opt:vhq=4:bvhq=1:quant_type=mpeg -o out.avi

The version I am using installed on Ubuntu is 2:1.0~rc1-0ubuntu9.

I have used this before without any duplicate frame problems.  I have
also tried adding -mc 0 or harddup without any effect.  If there is
anything I am doing blatantly wrong, please let me know!
