[MEncoder-users] about filmdint/pullup

Hello. I have been playing with filmdint. My main source are films  
broadcast on DVB at 50i, and since most tutorials and discussions  
around are based on NTSC, and I am left with some doubts:

	Can filmdint (or pullup) be used to convert from 50i to 24p?

	Or one would simply deinterlace and slow down eg with
	"-fps 25 -ofps 24000/1001".

  	Or one would even more simply keep it at 25p?

	In the first two cases, how do you keep the audio in sync?
	Muxing directly while encoding with mplayer seems to work.
	But is it possible to keep av-sync while encoding the audio
	separately? How?
