[MEncoder-users] Sharp-Videofilter: unsharp=l3x3:1:c3x3:1

Hi, could someone of you explain me what does the
filter "unsharp=l3x3:1:c3x3:1" mean. I'm only confused because I read that
this does "use sharp" while the option is called "unsharp".

PS: I don't know much about videofilters but I'm developing a GUI (avi2pmp),
which uses mencoder, so it would great if someone explain me a bit.
