[MEncoder-users] Does MEncoder has issues with AAC audio encoding?

Yes, I read it but this is strange. When using previous versions of MEncoder, 
the resulting file of The War Of The Worlds encode clearly had distortions in 
its audio, especially at the beginning which has a lot of 
surrounding/background music. With today's MEncoder version those are gone
