[MEncoder-users] Aspect distortion converting dvb-t files

If you're using scale and the image is 4:3 then it should not be
distorted once it's encoded. You might have to pad the video with
extra pixels to get it to be a proper 4:3 ratio. I assume  from your
capture size that your video is SVCD (PAL/SECAM) (480 x 576).  480×576
is equivalent to 720×576 (at pixel aspect ratio 54/59), so try scaling
to that and see what happens. Anything else and you will be losing
resolution.
