Ok. Just a clarification : can I use -lavcopts autoaspect even when
not using a lavc codec (I'm using xvid for re-encoding my dvb
recordings).

BTW, I would also be interested in using the lavc noise reduction
filter, but I thought it was only possible when using the lavc codec ?
