Xvid destroys fine details for the sake of a smooth and artifact-free
picture, while FMP4 retains details at all costs. Xvid encodes looks
much better at very low bitrates, while FMP4 looks much better if

*cmp=2 makes for quite a bit of blockiness, and is usually a bad idea.
It'll look much better without *cmp, or perhaps with 3 instead of 2.
qns also only seems noticably to help with animation.
You're usually better off with 0 b-frames.
