yes: i ripped the entire dvd on the disk on repertory ./VIDEO-TS then

Maybe you are playing a non-interleaved stream/file or the codec failed?
For AVI files, try to force non-interleaved mode with the -ni option.

I did exactly same commands with the first dvd and no probleme.
Sound is ac3 encoded in the dvd;
