I am trying to record with mencoder from my tvtuner card. Image
recording works fine but I cant't record the sound. I tested almost all
combinations with alsamixer but still nothing.

I already tried to force the audio as mentioned in a lot of posts but
this doesn't seem to help neither.

Command I use to encode : 
	mencoder tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:volume=100:forceaudio -ovc lavc
-oac mp3lame -o output.avi

When I watch TV through mplayer with command :
	mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2
Sound is ok

How can I check if my mixer settings are correct or check which is the
device that is used to record.
How can I check if my output contains a sound record (maybe there is
something wrong when I play the file).

What can I do to troubleshoot this.

PS: I use a winhaupage card that is connected via an external cable to
my sound card.
