[MEncoder-users] yadif and funny period-6 interlacing

I got a 29.97fps DVD which when "."-ed in MPlayer, shows interlacing
patterns with period 6.  Every 6th frame is progressive, it is bounded
by two frames with a little bit of interlacing pattern, and the
"middle" 2 frames show a major interlacing.

Doing yadif=3,mcdeint can't cope with interlacing of two "middle"
frames.  Is there any alternative?

P.S.  Juggling numbers 30fps and 6frames, this pattern looks like an
      artefact of PAL->NTSC conversion.
