[MEncoder-users] mencoder no sound when reading from DVD

Hello,

I have been trying to convert a DVD, that I authored in the past, to an
MPEG 4 with low frame rate to upload to Google Video.

It all goes well except that the output video file has no audio.

I also tried to use dvdrip to get the same DVD track to an MPEG 2 video
file. After converting that file with your tool, it came out with audio.
I do not want to use dvdrip as it is too slow for what I want.

I know that the original only has sound on the left audio track, but I
don't know if that is the problem.

I wonder if you have any idea what could be the problem. Below follows
the command line that your program used and the start of the output.

/usr/bin/mencoder  -o '/home/mlemos/garbage/1.mpeg' -oac lavc -ffourcc
divx -ovc lavc -lavcopts
vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=1800:keyint=100:dia=1:aspect=4/3:acodec=mp3:abitrate=128
-ofps 12 -dvd-device /dev/hdc -aid 128 dvd:// -chapter 1-1
