Still, is framerate really an inherent property of the video stream?
Or is it just a value in the stream header? -- but even if it were,
changing the header value would be pointless, since it's up to the
program whether to use that value or a user-specified one.
On an off-topic note, and just for curiousity's sake, why do older
films released on DVD tend to have many short, hard-telecined segments
throughout them? I've noticed that DVDs of newer films (less than 5
years old) tend to be 100% progressive content.
