This is what I get in my configure.log:

Result is: no

I am not sure why it wouldn't detect the v4l2 driver when I try to compile
from CVS if it works in a pre-packaged version.  My distribution is Startcom
Multimedia Edition 4.04

Which distribution? Press Ctrl+C after you see Checking for V4L2... no
and look inside configure.log for more clues.
