First pass looks fine. It exits '0' and outputs this:

But it gets weirder:
- Running mencoder directly on vdr file works fine although I get 14
  warnings about duplicate frames.
- If I run mencoder on replex'ed vdr files, I get only 3 warnings
  about duplicate frames but the second pass aborts.

Note that I get similar result when encoding replexed files with xvid:
xvid seg faults during second pass...
