[MEncoder-users] Generate mp4 with subtitles for ipod

Hi,

I'm trying to convert a XviD video file to a mp4 format compatible with
Ipod. Moreover I'm burning into the avi file a srt file with the
subtitles.

The line I'm using is the following:

mencoder -o output.mp4 -sub subfile.srt
-font .mplayer/font/font-arial-iso-8859-1/font-arial-28-iso-8859-1/font.desc filetoconvert.avi -oac copy -of lavf -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:mbd=2:trell:v4mv:last_pred=2:dia=-1:vmax_b_frames=2:vb_strategy=1:cmp=3:subcmp=3:precmp=0:vqcomp=0.6:turbo -lavfopts format=mp4 -vf scale=624:352

As you could see, I'm leaving the audio as the original file and the
size (624x352) should be a compatible size for Ipod (for more

But I'm having compatibility problems with this file (itunes doesn't get
the file) so I would like to know if I'm doing the right conversion with
mencoder.
