[MEncoder-users] MEncoder on Itanium

Hey, it is a great news! I was able to compile
MPlayer-1.0pre7try2 on SGI Altix (Itanium2 1.6GHz)
without any problems.
I've tested MEncoder and it was properly encoding an
AVI movie out of sequence of JPEG images. Images were
720x366 and it was encoding at 46fps. It is not a
benchmark since the system is shared between number of
users.
Unfortunately I have only remote access to the
machine, so I can't test MPlayer.

Can someone tell me how fast I can encode at
resolution mentioned above on the latest and fastest
Opteron?
The command line was:

mencoder mf://*.jpg -mf type=jpeg:fps=30 -of avi
-nosound -ffourcc DX50 -ovc lavc -lavcopts
vcodec=mpeg4:autoaspect:vbitrate=320:vstrict=1 -o
test.avi
