Corey's patches fix all the issues that I have experienced with MEncoder.
Muxing with lavf with bframes isn't supposed to be fixed though.

As a side note: experimental patches are to be tested: so you are more
than welcome to join the testing crew force. :)

We could use of some help :)

Just because code is syntactically "valid" GNU C doesn't mean gcc can
always compile it.
