[MEncoder-users] avi cut with mencoder not playable by mplayer

The output file movie-cut.avi is 1.5 GB. Xine plays them, but only
sound, no video. -nosound doesn't help, -vfm ffmpeg does. So at least I
can play them now.

I have made a sample that shows the same problem, but is only 11 MB.
Unfortunately, I have no place to upload. But I can mail them on
request, of course.

I just don't understand why mplayer doesn't play anything that has
only been generated and processed with mencoder, with no special
options.
