Hi!

I am trying to cut off the first few minutes of a DVB recording from TV
with mencoder using the following command:

mencoder -ss 4:49 -o movie-cut.avi movie.avi -oac copy
-ovc copy

mencoder processes fine and returns no errors. But when I try to play
movie-cut.avi with mplayer, it just aborts with the following message:

The original movie.avi was created with the command

mencoder dvb://MyChannel -oac copy -ovc copy -o movie.avi

What am I doing wrong? mplayer is version 1.0-pre8.

Thanks for any help,
Christian
