[MEncoder-users] 2pass curve failed to converge

Trying to encode part of a DVD source, "dvd://1 -chapter 9" errors out with
"2pass curve failed to converge". When I start with "-chapter 1-8", it's okay.
Using 'MPlayer 1.0pre8-3.3.5'.

"-lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=1900:v4mv:mbd=2:mv0:trell:qpel:preme=2:predia=4\
:dia=4:cmp=3:subcmp=3:autoaspect:vpass=1:turbo"

I'm not sure this is related to the earlier post about transcoding from AVI, and
I'm using the packaged release, not CVS.
