[MEncoder-users] Thumbnail creation

Hi,

due to the deadline approaching rapidly, i abandoned the mplayer path and
switched back to ffmpeg for the thumbs while still using it for conversion
to FLV. I issue

ffmpeg -i foo.mov -ss 15 -t 1 -r 1 -s 160x120 -y foo_thumb_%03d.jpg

and it does what i want. The only drawback is that another software needs to
be installed on the server, but that's ok as long as I don't have to cope
with the very strange behaviour of the current mplayer version.
